Betws-y-coed

Widely known as the “Gateway to Snowdonia”, Betws-y-coed is the perfect holiday base for people looking to explore the extraordinary natural beauty of the region.

Betws-y-Coed (Pronounced: Bet-tooz-er-koyd. Translated: Sanctuary in the woods) is North Wales’ most popular inland resort. Surrounded by dense woodland and magnificent mountain country, this is a haven for walkers, photographers and artists, and presents the perfect location for that promised romantic break!
At Betws-y-Coed the River Conwy meets its tributaries, The Lledr and The Llugwy, flowing from the west, and the beauty of the area is enhanced by cascading waterfalls, river pools and ancient bridges. Most famous of all are the magnificent Swallow Falls, situated where the Llugwy River hurls itself into a spectacular chasm.

The village has shops, pubs and eateries, is home to The Snowdonia National Park Visitor Centre, and is generally a thriving hub of activity all year round.

Our Location

Situated in the heart of Betws-y-coed, Bodlondeb Holiday Cottage can be found within 500 metres of the famous Pont-y-Pair bridge.

We are situated on the left hand side of the B5106 heading in the direction of Llanrwst.  The village and all amenities are within easy walking distance.

“Amazing place, great location.  Go there!!”

“Amazing house with beautiful rooms. Amazing spaces and fully equipped. So beautifully presented. The village is stunning and even in covid times was spacious enough.  John was so easy to talk with and very responsive to even my most simple of questions. Looking to go back next year to the same property.”
