The village itself is a thriving hub of activity, boasting a main street filled with elegant hotels, restaurants, bistros and inns which will keep you nicely fed and watered throughout your stay.
If you like a little retail therapy, the village also has a large number of specialist outdoor clothing and equipment outlets, alongside a multitude of local craft and gift shops.
Betws-y-coed also hosts the Snowdonia National Park Visitor Centre, which is well worth a visit just off the main street.
Betws-y-coed boasts some world famous scenery, all right here on the doorstep of Bodlondeb Holiday Cottage. The spectacular Swallow Falls are a breathtaking sight and within a comfortable walking distance from the village centre. Similarly the picturesque lake at Llyn Elsi sits just above the village, and is well worth the visit on a short, if somewhat steep, walk from behind the church.
