NORTH WALES
“The Adventure Capital of Europe”
An incredible rise in adventure attractions in the North Wales region over the past decade, has led to the region becoming a thrill seekers paradise! Largely led by Zip World and their record breaking zip wire rides, numerous other ground-breaking adventure enterprises have been born and all are easily reachable from Bodlondeb. In fact the original Zip World park, which now boasts the “Fforest Coaster”, “Sky Ride” and “Plummet”, is only a few hundred metres directly across the River Conwy from the front door at Bodlondeb!
Zip World’s other locations, one boasting the world’s fastest zip line in Bethesda and the other Europe’s longest zip zone in Blaenau Ffestiniog, are both less than half an hour’s drive away from Bodlondeb.
Other major attractions both within a 20 minute drive from the cottage include Adventure Parc Snowdonia, boasting the world’s first inland surfing lagoon, and Go Below underground caving adventures.
MOUNTAIN BIKING HEAVEN
The local area has long been recognised as a leading resort for mountain biking enthusiasts, a reputation which has simply continued to grow in recent times. The highly reputable “Marin” and “Penmachno” trails are both on the doorstep, with Bodlondeb providing the perfect place for your group to stay with our secure bike storage and ample room for groups.
SNOWDONIA
“An Abundance of Glorious Scenery”
“Perhaps in the whole world there is no region more picturesquely beautiful than Snowdonia, a region of mountains, lakes, cateracts and groves, in which Nature shows herself in her most grand and beautiful forms.”
George Borrow’s quote from the 1860s published book “Wild Wales”, perfectly portrays the local region which stretches from sea to mountain tops, incorporating Wales’ highest peak.
Betws-y-coed is perfectly located for people wanting to explore the natural beauty and fantastic views of the area. Mountain walks are aplenty, with beautiful beaches also within a short drive out. Read up on some great local walks here.
